Professional Photographer Jim Graham Speaks to Archmere Art Students

On December 13, the Archmere Art Club hosted a special guest speaker, Pulitzer Prize-nominated local photographer, Jim Graham. Jim gave a short lecture about his work as a professional photojournalist and photographer. He also spoke to the students about Archmere alum Bill Epperidge’s mentorship and indelible impact on his own work and career. Following the lecture, Jim offered individual student portfolio reviews to students who wished to submit entries into the Scholastic Art Competition in the Photography category, or who were just interested in the chance to have professional feedback about their work.

Students will embark on an enriching educational and cultural exchange program with Yanping High School in Taiwan, immersing themselves in dynamic classrooms and honing their language skills while exploring the island’s rich history and diverse traditions. By connecting with local communities and forging cross-cultural connections, this trip will certainly be a unique and unforgettable experience. Coming Home for Christmas

On December 17th, Archmere’s annual reunion concert welcomed home the Mastersingers from the 1980s to the present. Joining our current Mastersingers, the group performed Christmas favorites such as Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus. The HRAI String Ensemble and harpists also accompanied the choirs. This beautiful concert was followed by a high tea reception in the holiday attired Patio.
